Offered by Nicole Corbo (she/they) of Roots & Sky Nature-Based Learning

Let’s get resourced, y’all! Many educators learn to put everyone else’s needs ahead of their own, and then we wonder why we’re depleted. Taking cues from nature, we can learn to assess our needs and make reasonable, flexible plans to meet them.

In this workshop, you will learn how to assess (and meet!) your basic needs through daily connection with nature. Utilizing the tools you learn will ensure you’re resourced and ready to show up in a way that serves everyone - especially you!

Nicole, a white woman with long wavy auburn hair and bangs, is smiling at the camera. She is wearing a red fleece pull-over. Behind her is a Douglas Fir tree.

About Nicole
Nicole has spent over four decades facilitating nature-based learning experiences for humans of all ages, from 0 - 81. She founded Roots & Sky Nature-Based Learning because she believes it is essential for all children, preschool through high school (and the grown-ups who guide them), to access and experience meaningful time learning in, about, and with nature. Through Roots & Sky, she offers programs, professional development, and consulting services to schools and programs around the country to increase outdoor play & learning. Nicole is Director of the Washington Nature Preschool Association (WaNPA). She is also a Certified Trainer of The Cedarsong Way and, part of the time, she nurtures and guides early learners through her Nature Time! program, where she is joyfully referred to as Teacher Frog. Nicole finds her joy and grounding in nature.
